Some questions to consider
All questions we will help you answer.
The flooding of 2019 almost destroyed the oldest boathouse on Lake Muskoka
The docks floated away and the boathouse settled on the cribs
Would have been easier to replace it but this 125 year old building had to be saved.
After replacing the cribs, docks and straightening the boathouse we felt very proud to save this historic building.
This 1980s boathouse was built too low to the water and spent most of the year at or under water
We raised the building 16 inches, replaced all the beams and decking, added and sundeck and full height doors to give this boathouse a new life
While fixing the boathouse was required we added a Sundeck so the family has somewhere to sit and swim safely by the water
Boathouse in Lake Rouseau with structural issues, cribs were failing and the dock was collapsing.
Typical Monday job
We raised the Boathouse off the old cribs, pulled out and rebuilt the cribs with rot resistant materials, leveled the walls and dock and installed a new door for security.
5 days later the customer was thrilled with their new dock, a door that works and a boathouse that is no longer at risk of falling down.
This old Port Carling dock was 18 years old and really on its last legs, cribs failing, all the beams were rotten and it was a danger to anyone walking on it.
Muskoka Docks and boat house repair.
Nothing like a fresh start for this dock, new cribs, beams and decking to ensure another trouble free 20 years.
High water and waves destroyed this dock.
We rebuilt it from the bottom up adding additional brackets between the bottom of the crib and the beams, extra stone in the crib and we reinforced the crib against movement, all to ensure the high waters won't lift this dock again.
Helical piers work great in a sandy location like this.
Each one is capable of supporting thousands of pounds of weight.
Using the right building materials ensures a stable foundation but also protects our environment and the lake!
We don't use Pressure Treated or chemically treated woods around the lake.
Great looks and a solid foundation
Just waiting for the deck chairs to be applied!
